These Easy No-Bake Oreo Tailgate Dessert Bars are a crowd-pleasing, no-oven dessert that comes together in about fifteen minutes of actual work. With a crunchy Oreo crust and a creamy, rich filling, they’re perfect for game days, potlucks, or any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 regular Oreo cookies
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prep your pan. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on two sides. Set aside.
  2. Crush the Oreos. Place 30 Oreos in a large resealable plastic bag. Seal tight and crush with a rolling pin until you have a mix of fine crumbs and small pea-sized pieces. Reserve the remaining 6 Oreos for the top.
  3. Make the crust. Pour the crushed Oreos into a medium bowl. Add the melted butter and stir until every crumb is coated. The mixture should look like wet sand and clump together when pressed.
  4. Press the bottom layer. Scoop about two-thirds of the crust mixture into your prepared pan. Press it down firmly and evenly using the bottom of a measuring cup. Refrigerate while you make the filling.
  5. Make the filling. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then beat until combined. Add the heavy cream and beat until light and spreadable.
  6. Assemble the bars. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
  7. Add the top layer. Sprinkle the remaining crust mixture over the cream cheese layer. Crush the reserved 6 Oreos into slightly larger pieces and scatter them over the top.
  8. Chill. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  9. Slice and serve. Lift the bars out using the parchment overhang. Cut into squares with a sharp knife, wiping the knife clean between cuts.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature cream cheese and chill the bars for at least 4 hours. The bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 3 months. For cleaner slices, run your knife under hot water and wipe dry between cuts.
