A quick, no-bake dessert dip combining tart Granny Smith apples with a rich, salty-sweet caramel and cream cheese base. Perfect for fall gatherings and ready in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream, cold
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (preferably with sea salt)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional)
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the Granny Smith apples into small, bite-sized cubes. Place them in a bowl and toss with the lemon juice to prevent browning. Set aside.
  2. Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature. If cold, microwave in 10-second intervals until soft.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric hand mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
  4. Slowly pour in the cold heavy cream while mixing on medium-high speed. Beat for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is light, fluffy, and holds soft peaks.
  5. Gently fold in half of the diced apples into the cream cheese mixture. Reserve the rest for topping.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl. Warm the caramel sauce slightly if needed to make it pourable.
  7. Drizzle half of the caramel over the cheesecake mixture and use a knife to gently swirl it in for a marble pattern.
  8. Top with the remaining caramel and sprinkle with the reserved diced apples.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld and the dip to firm up.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. Do not overmix after adding heavy cream to prevent deflation. If using homemade caramel, ensure it is cooled to room temperature before swirling to prevent melting the cream cheese. For best texture, add fresh apple slices just before serving if making ahead.
