A cozy, salty-sweet fall cocktail that combines fresh apple cider, caramel sauce, and sparkling wine for a sophisticated yet easy-to-make drink perfect for autumn gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups apple cider (fresh-pressed preferred)
  • 1 bottle (750ml) sparkling wine or champagne (Brut or Extra Dry)
  • 1/2 cup thick caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Apple slices for garnish
  • Cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill the apple cider and sparkling wine in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the chilled apple cider, caramel sauce, and vanilla extract. Stir gently until the caramel is fully dissolved.
  3. Sprinkle the flaky sea salt into the mixture and stir to distribute evenly. Taste and adjust salt if desired.
  4. Just before serving, pour the chilled sparkling wine into the pitcher slowly to preserve bubbles. Stir very gently to combine.
  5. Fill champagne flutes about 2/3 full with the mixture.
  6. Garnish each glass with a thin slice of apple and a cinnamon stick.

Notes

Keep all ingredients cold to maintain carbonation. Add sparkling wine last to prevent losing fizz. Do not over-stir. Can be made non-alcoholic by substituting sparkling apple juice or ginger ale.
