Easy Classic Charcuterie Board for Two

easy classic charcuterie board for two - featured image

An intimate, no-cook charcuterie board designed for two people, featuring a balance of salty meats, sharp and creamy cheeses, crunchy nuts, and sweet jams. Perfect for a quick, elegant late-night snack or date night.

Ingredients

  • Prosciutto di Parma (thinly sliced)
  • Hard Salami (spicy or plain)
  • Smoked Salmon (cold-smoked)
  • Sharp Cheddar (block, cut into cubes or slices)
  • Brie or Camembert (wheel or wedge)
  • Plain Cream Cheese
  • Water Crackers or Seeded Whole Wheat Crackers
  • Toasted Almonds
  • Fig Jam
  • Red or Green Grapes
  • Dark Chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your clean, dry wooden cutting board or slate platter as the base.
  2. Place the large blocks of cheddar and the wheel of brie on the board in different corners to create height and visual interest. Do not slice them all yet.
  3. Spoon the cream cheese into a small bowl or ramekin and place it on the board.
  4. Fold the prosciutto into loose nests or rolls and place them near the cheeses. Lay the salami strips out flat or folded over themselves to create easy-to-grab pockets.
  5. Sprinkle almonds and scatter crackers in groups of three or four around the board, filling in gaps between cheeses and meats.
  6. Place grapes in clusters near the meats and add fig jam in a small spoon or directly on the board. Place dark chocolate squares near the crackers.
  7. Step back to check for balance and adjust as needed. Add fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for aroma if desired.

Notes

Take cheeses out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving to allow them to come to room temperature for better flavor and texture. Fold prosciutto rather than slicing it flat for better visual appeal. Keep crackers separate from wet ingredients until serving to prevent sogginess. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two days; do not microwave cheese.
