A quick and healthy snack featuring whole-wheat tortillas spread with creamy sunflower butter and drizzled with honey, rolled into tasty pinwheel wraps perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large (10-inch) whole-wheat tortillas
  • ½ cup creamy sunflower butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 ripe banana, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • A pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lay out the whole-wheat tortillas flat on a clean surface or large cutting board.
  2. Spread about 2 tablespoons of sunflower butter evenly over each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Drizzle about ½ tablespoon of honey evenly over the sunflower butter on each wrap.
  4. If using, arrange thin banana slices in a single layer over the honey. Lightly sprinkle chia seeds and a pinch of cinnamon.
  5. Roll each tortilla tightly into a log, pressing gently to keep everything inside.
  6. Slice each rolled tortilla into 1-inch thick rounds, aiming for 6-8 pinwheels per wrap.
  7. Serve immediately or wrap tightly and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Let come to room temperature before serving.

Notes

If sunflower butter is too thick, warm it briefly in warm water or microwave for about 10 seconds to soften. Use fresh, pliable tortillas and roll tightly to prevent tearing. Avoid over-drizzling honey or using overly ripe bananas to prevent sogginess. Store pinwheels refrigerated up to 24 hours and bring to room temperature before serving. For gluten-free, use almond or cassava flour wraps. Maple syrup can replace honey for a vegan option.
