Ingredients

  • Red grapes (seedless, washed)
  • Strawberries (hulled and halved)
  • Oranges (peeled and segmented)
  • Golden kiwi (peeled and sliced)
  • Green apples (thinly sliced, with lemon juice to prevent browning)
  • Blueberries (washed)
  • Blackberries (washed)
  • Purple plums (sliced thinly)
  • Greek yogurt (full-fat, about 1 cup)
  • Honey (2 tablespoons)
  • Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
  • Sour cream or crème fraîche (3/4 cup)
  • Fresh lime juice (2 tablespoons)
  • Chopped fresh cilantro (2 tablespoons)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Toasted nuts or seeds (almonds, pistachios, or pumpkin seeds, optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash all fruits thoroughly under cold water and pat dry.
  2. Hull and halve the strawberries.
  3. Peel the oranges and segment them carefully to avoid pith, removing seeds.
  4. Peel and slice the golden kiwi into thin rounds.
  5. Core and thinly slice the green apples, then toss immediately in a bowl with a teaspoon of lemon juice to prevent browning.
  6. Slice the purple plums thinly, discarding pits.
  7. In a small bowl, stir together 1 cup Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  8. In another small bowl, combine 3/4 cup sour cream, 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice, and 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then mix well.
  9. Place the dip bowls on the serving board, spacing them out for easy access.
  10. Arrange the fruit in rows or arcs by color, mimicking the rainbow: red grapes and strawberries first, then oranges, golden kiwi, green apples, blueberries, blackberries, and purple plums last.
  11. Fill any gaps with toasted nuts or fresh mint leaves for texture and color.
  12. Adjust the arrangement to ensure colors flow smoothly and the board looks inviting.
  13. Chill the board briefly if possible before serving to keep fruits fresh and dips cool.
  14. Provide small plates and napkins nearby for easy sharing and nibbling.

Notes

Use lemon juice on green apples to prevent browning. Prepare fruit close to serving time to keep fresh. Keep dips chilled, especially for outdoor events. Optional toasted nuts or fresh herbs add texture and flavor. Can swap fruits seasonally or use dairy-free alternatives for dips.
