Healthy Halloween Fruit Ghosts with Yogurt Dip

Healthy Halloween Fruit Ghosts - featured image

A quick, festive, and healthy Halloween treat made with simple ingredients like bananas, green grapes, and a creamy vanilla-yogurt dip. This gluten-free snack is perfect for parties and kids.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • 1 cup seedless green grapes
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed, then refrigerate to chill.
  2. Peel the bananas and cut them into thick, 1-inch slices. If not serving immediately, drizzle with a little extra lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Take a banana slice and place two small green grapes on the upper part to serve as eyes. Place two smaller pieces of grape (halved larger grapes) on the sides to serve as arms.
  4. Arrange the assembled fruit ghosts on a serving platter. Serve immediately with the chilled yogurt dip in the center.

Notes

Ensure bananas are firm to prevent breaking. Pat grapes dry before assembling to prevent sliding. The dip can be made up to 2 days in advance, but assemble the ghosts immediately before serving to prevent the bananas from browning. If the yogurt is too runny, strain it through cheesecloth for 15 minutes.
