A quick and easy no-bake dessert dip featuring creamy cream cheese, sweet caramel sauce, and crunchy toffee bits. Perfect for parties, game days, or a simple weeknight treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 1/3 cup toffee bits (such as Heath or Skor)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt
  • Assorted dippers: apple slices (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), pretzels, graham crackers, or shortbread cookies

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese: Take the 8 oz block of cream cheese out of the fridge about 30 minutes before starting. If in a hurry, microwave on low power for 10-15 seconds until soft but still holding its shape.
  2. Plate the cream cheese: Place the softened cream cheese in the center of a serving plate. Use a spatula or butter knife to spread it into an even layer about 1/2 inch thick, forming a rough circle about 6 inches across.
  3. Add the vanilla and brown sugar (optional): If using, sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the cream cheese, then drizzle the vanilla on top. Gently press them into the cream cheese with the spatula.
  4. Drizzle the caramel sauce: Spoon about 1/3 cup of caramel sauce over the cream cheese in a zigzag pattern or pour in the center and let it spread naturally, leaving a small border around the edge.
  5. Sprinkle the toffee bits: Evenly scatter the toffee bits over the caramel layer. Use about 1/3 cup, or more if desired.
  6. Finish with sea salt: Sprinkle a small pinch of flaky sea salt over the top.
  7. Prepare dippers: Core and slice apples into thick wedges. If not serving immediately, toss apple slices in a little lemon juice to prevent browning. Arrange apples, pretzels, and cookies around the dip on the plate.
  8. Serve immediately: Best served right away while cream cheese is cool and caramel is glossy. If making ahead, assemble dip (without apples) and refrigerate up to 2 hours; let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Room temperature cream cheese is essential for smooth spreading. Use a good-quality thick caramel sauce. Toasting toffee bits in a 350°F oven for 3-4 minutes enhances crunch and flavor. For a dairy-free version, use dairy-free cream cheese and ensure caramel sauce is dairy-free. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; let come to room temperature before serving and add fresh toffee bits for crunch.
